Pastoral Support
At our school, we pride ourselves on being a caring and inclusive community that places the well-being of students, parents, and staff at the heart of everything we do. As part of our commitment to supporting children and families, we have made significant investments in our pastoral care provision.
Each year group is supported by a dedicated team, including an experienced Year Leader, a non-teaching Year Leader Assistant and a Tutor Teacher. Our five year teams are guided by members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), ensuring that every year group thrives academically, socially, and emotionally. These teams also work closely together to meet the individual needs of students and support the daily life of our school.

Year Leaders
Inclusion
Mrs Paula Lindfield is our Safeguarding and Family Support Lead, who also serves as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), works closely with Mrs Katy Woods, our Deputy Headteacher for Behaviour, Welfare, and Inclusion to make sure students are safe, supported, and able to flourish. They also lead our mental health partnership work with families, coordinating referrals to a range of services including the Mental Health Support Team, The Legacy Project, Alabare Counselling, and other youth support agencies. This role is central to helping families overcome challenges by working collaboratively with parents and external professionals to remove barriers and provide tailored support.
Mrs Nicola Doran is our Attendance Officer who plays a key role in promoting excellent attendance and works closely with families to address any barriers that may prevent students from attending school regularly. While we maintain high expectations around attendance, we approach each situation with understanding, empathy, and support. The Attendance Officer is also a valued member of the Inclusion Team, ensuring that families receive consistent and compassionate guidance.

We are proud to be recognised as a Simon Says Champion School, which means we can offer enhanced support for students experiencing bereavement. This includes access to a bereavement support club, regular check-ins, and referrals to additional specialist services. We also work closely with our feeder schools and local colleges to ensure continuity of care and support for every student.
The Link
Our dedicated LINK provision, directed by the Deputy Headteacher for Inclusion, offers a flexible and nurturing environment for students who may need additional support on a short-term basis. This bespoke provision helps students who may be facing behavioural, social, emotional, or learning challenges, as well as those experiencing emotion-based school avoidance. Led by our highly experienced LINK Manager, the provision provides a calm and supportive space where students can re-engage with learning and achieve their full potential. The LINK Manager also works closely with Andover Young Carers, running a weekly after-school club to support our young carers.
