From September, for three mornings every week, students in Years 7 – 10 will take part in Harrow Way Community School’s new Tutor Reading Programme. All students will have access to a brand new copy of some of the world’s best fiction and will be encouraged to follow along as their tutor reads to them.

By reading to them and pausing to consider the meaning of words common across a variety of subjects, we hope to be able to boost student knowledge and understanding. The reading programme is also designed to complement the curriculum, drawing links to ideas and themes studied in lessons.
