This was one of the first competitions where the house team system was used and it proved to be a great success.
The first match was ‘Red’ vs ‘Yellow’ house which proved to be an exciting match with many attempts at the goal, but the final score was 1-0 to ‘Red’ house.
The second match was ‘Red’ vs ‘Blue’ house. This proved to be another exciting match with the score being 1-1 by the end of the first half. The final score stayed at 1-1 so it all came down to the final match to decide who would win.
This final match proved to be the most exciting; the score at the end of the first half was 1-0 to ‘Yellow’, but during the end of the second half ‘Blue’ made a huge comeback eventually winning 6-1 with the last goal being scored in the last 5 seconds of play.
The ‘Blues’ were the champions of the competition with 10 points. All the girls played outstandingly and the competition proved to have been a great success.
