It will involve secondary and primary schools in the local area and culminate in a celebratory event at St Mary’s church in Andover, including an exhibition, a private view and workshops.

This month they were made very welcome at St Mary’s where they collected visual information, text and thoughts in and around the church before listening to some interesting facts from the verger Arthur Leonard.

The Ceramicist Linda Bristow will be helping the students to translate their designs ideas into a large scale sculpture and the painter Irene Timms will be working with local primary schools on exciting circular paintings. Harrow Way has also been fortunate to have the art department from John Hanson School on board too. Zoe Bibby brought a group of students to collect visual information for a digital work using sound and vision. With primary schools benefiting from the workshops run by the year 9 students and community groups involved in other workshops it promises to be a successful community project.
