The recent after-school Drawing Workshop for Year 10 has given art students the opportunity to develop and extend their techniques with the addition of colour. They selected their own still life objects, sourcing items from home as well as from around the school, which were relevant to their current personal project.
These twilight sessions are invaluable for upgrading skills, raising work towards personal TMG and providing studies for GCSE final assessment. The students are realising the importance of sketch book studies and the large proportion of marks accredited to their visual art coursework.
Further twilight workshops for KS4 / KS3 will be planned into the Autumn term art room calendar.
