A group of Year 7 and Year 8 musicians from Harrow Way School took part in the Lantern Parade on Friday 16th November 2007. They spent the afternoon learning two pieces of music using Samba Drumming techniques, under-assisted by two leaders from Batala Samba. The students then moved to The Lights in Andover to lead the Lantern Parade from The Lights to the Stage in the Market Square commencing the celebrations for the switching on of the Christmas lights. The High Street echoed to the sounds of Samba Drumming!
