For the 2019 prom season Harrow Way broke with tradition and headed over to Winchester’s Holiday Inn to officially mark the end of Year 11. Before discovering what awaited in their ‘starry night’ themed venue, students enjoyed the official arrival procession which once again, did not disappoint. From sports car to classic cars, a vintage American Oldsmobile 8 1948 to luxury executive, students arrived in a wonderful medley of vehicles looking smart, stylish and very grown up in their prom gowns and sharp suits. Commenting on the event which she helped to organise Karen McCullough, Assistant Year 11 Leader said: “Since December myself, my colleague Katy Woods and ten Year 11 students have been busy planning the finer details of this special occasion. Students voted to change the venue so for the first time since 2006 we held the event away from Harrow Way which definitely gave a different feel to the occasion. But as always it was a wonderful way to conclude a hard year and an intense exam period, and as they always do, the students made us very proud.”
