06/02/2019 22:00: As has been published in the news today, Harrow Way is currently open as a rest centre for local residents evacuated by the major fire at the Ocado warehouse on Walworth industrial estate.
At this point we expect the school to be open as normal on Thursday the 7th, however we will post an update at 07:00 on the 7th to confirm.
Students that travel to school on the Pikes bus should be aware that the bus company have been in touch and advised that they may not be able to run their usual service as their premises are currently cordoned off by the emergency services. We will provide any updates on this as we have them.
We’d like to offer our support and thanks to the Emergency Services working so hard tonight, the volunteers and council staff involved, our Site Manager for co-ordinating the rest centre and anyone else involved in the effort. We also send our best wishes to any of our local community affected by this incident and thank everyone that has reached out tonight to offer support.
