Harrow Way hosted a very successful girls indoor football tournament on Wednesday 12th December, with 8 teams from 5 schools taking part. With the competition split into 2 pools, each team were to play 3 games, with the winner from both pools playing a final.

‘Harrow Way 2′ was a completely Year 7 team, and they played fantastically well, with 3 close fought games, only going down 1-0, 1-0 and 2-0.’Harrow Way 1’ only had 2 out of their 5 players from Year 8, but were superb, finishing an unbeaten joint 1st from their pool.

A 2 minute golden goal game against Winton to decide who was going into the final was played, with Faith slotting in a goal with just seconds left. The final against John Hanson 1 was much the same, with the score remaining 0-0 through the duration and into extra time. A sudden death penalty shoot out determined the result, with Harrow Way narrowly missing out on overall victory.

An excellent tournament, all girls played superbly, and looking forward to the rematch tournament in the New Year.
