Given the current weather conditions and the met office’s forecast for further heavier snow throughout the morning today, Harrow Way school will be closed today on Thursday 1st March.​ The Pre-School is also closed.
This decision has been taken in order to safeguard all people using the site and the risk to their safety in travelling to school. The met office have given the area an amber warning stating that people should not travel unless they have to. Additionally, as well as the potential hazard of travelling to school, we are mindful of then having to make arrangements for students and staff returning home later in the day when the weather could be worse.
Arrangements are being made for staff to set work and give guidance for work to be done at home via Show My homework/google classroom and email.
