The rugby season started with a ‘bang’ for the year 8/9 rugby team on Thursday evening with a dramatic away win over Kings’ School, Winchester. The final score of 29-7 did little to reflect the true superiority that the Harrow Way team had over it’s rivals. Within the first few minutes of the game, it was clear that Harrow Way, captained by Joseph Joy, intended to stamp their authority on the game and did so in emphatic style with a string of tries before half time. Kings’ held on but rarely looked like scoring as Harrow Way extended their lead and tightened their grip on the game (helped by classic forward’s try from debutante Jack Moffat) to emerge deserved winners in what was an excellent first game of the season.
