On Friday 11th May, a group of around 40 Key Stage 4 students attended the ADSSA Senior District Athletics event at Charlton Athletics Track. A lack of practice opportunities due to the poor summer weather meant that we took a smaller team than usual, however it was proved that “good things come in small packages†when we returned from the competition with the best results in over a decade.
Harrow Way achieved 8 district Champions and 5 second place results, all gaining the opportunity to compete for the Andover District Team in the County Finals at Aldershot in June. Furthermore, Harrow Way came a deserved 2nd place overall for the whole competition, out of eight schools. The students were exceptionally behaved as always, and should be proud of their efforts on the day, contributing to an excellent school result.
