After qualifying at the District Athletics competition earlier in the term, Jordan Twigg, Luke Holman, Jamie Barry, Kelly Butler and Annie Brookes are to be congratulated on their performances on Saturday 12th June at the Hampshire Schools Athletic Association Track and Field Championships at the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth. Organiser, Nicky Chewins, said it was an excellent day with some amazing achievements, especially considering the high level of competition.
Jordan Twigg amazed everyone with his 23.7 second win in the Intermediate Boys’ 200m. He also came joint second in the Triple Jump with a jump of 11.77m.
Luke Holman came 4th in his 400m final in a time of 54.4 seconds.
Kelly Butler reached the 100m and 200m finals after some very tough heats.
Jamie competed in the discus and Annie in the 100m.
