Happy New Year to you all and here is our first update for 2009.

A lot has been happening in the past few months. Our chickens are laying eggs, our 2 goats, Fred and Barney, arrived and we have nearly finished the construction side of the project.

Our students have been busy building chicken runs, fences, raised beds and a goat house and we have already planted some garlic and onions outside which, to our surprise, are doing well.

Over the next couple of months we will be moving into our polytunnel to start planting. We plan to monitor the growth of our vegetables and flowers updating this site regularly. With luck, if all goes well, we plan to set up a small shop selling our produce to staff and students at which point we hope to be self sufficient.

Our plans for the future include a small weather station, a shop, to encourage more wildlife into the area, create a seating area and much more. Please keep an eye on this page for updates by students and staff.
