U14 Girls – Harrow Way bounce Winton out of the competition

This match always has a really local derby air about it with both teams always wanting to take the spoils. It is fiercely competitive, but played very fairly. Harrow Way managed to control Winton’s best player, Lauren Nicklin, and knew that this was vital if they were to win the match. Anna Bazzoni was awesome in defence and made so many interceptions with her intelligent play; she would then whip the ball out to the side of the court and start a fresh attack for the Harrow Way girls. It took a little while for the Harrow Way girls to get their shooting eye in, but once they did they pulled away and never really looked under threat. Sophie Boyne made her first appearance for the team and played very well.
The girls are now relishing the opportunity of playing against a Southampton school in the next round.
