Harrow Way 14 – Winton 8
Another victory for the Year 9 netball team. This team showed spells of really good play, linking well and moving the ball in sequence up the court. After the first quarter they found themselves up by 5 goals to 1. In the second quarter the scoring rate slowed down a little as Winton started to defend better and settle into their pattern of play. The score finishing 8–2 to Harrow Way at half time.
In the second two quarters Harrow Way never really looked threatened but did have a lapse in concentration in the third quarter allowing Winton to peg back a few more goals. However, after a good team talk, the team put in a much better performance in the final quarter to pull away 14-8.
Alice Longshaw and Steph Jackson again linked well in the shooting circle, but must make sure that they make the most of their shooting chances.
Anna Bazzoni once again was reliable as ever at the defensive end, with Lauren Lind also turning over the Winton attacks on several occasions.
