May 8th, 2008

Ex Harrow Way student James Tomlinson, who left Harrow Way in 1998, finished with figures of 8-46 as Hampshire bowled out Somerset for 126 shortly after lunch at Taunton in Division One of the LV County Championship. The 25-year-old had taken six wickets in the morning session – along with one for Hamza Riazuddin – as the hosts reached 92 for seven at lunch. Craig Kieswetter then became Tomlinson’s seventh victim when he was clean bowled for 32 after sharing a stand of 50 with Ben Phillips. Mike Munday made just four before falling to David Griffiths and there was no further score before Tomlinson made Phillips (39) his eighth victim as Somerset lurched to 126 all out. Tomlinson finished with 8-46 off 14.2 overs.
