The Yr 11 Btec Diploma Drama group travelled to the home of Phil Bowen and Sue Best to join forces with the Mid-Powis Youth Theatre to perform an evening of ‘Nonsense’ in their ‘Living Willow Theatre’. The MPYT performed works by Lewis Carroll whilst the Harrow Way group presented a show which told the life of Edward Lear and presented some of his poems including ‘The Dong with the Luminous Nose’, ‘The Jumblies’ and ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’. The group had travelled to Wales on Tuesday 10th July to give the performance in the evening. Whilst at the farm they saw the working of the farm and watched the sheep being sheared. They then stayed overnight, camping in the farmland which surrounds the theatre. On the way home they stopped for a sight seeing visit in Raglan Castle. There are photographs of the whole two days here. To read about the work of the ‘Living Willow Theatre’ click here. A video of the show can be viewed here.
