An inspiring second half performance was sadly not enough as the Year 7 ‘eagles’ crashed to a five goals to two defeat against local rivals John Hanson. In a desperate first half the ‘eagles’ failed to take off and were left floundering in the cold conditions as Hanson scored four without reply to lead 4-0 at half time. With greater organisation and communication in the second half the ‘eagles’ flew at John Hanson, creating many goal-scoring opportunities. They now played like a team and it was no surprise to see them win the second half by two goals to one. The final score of 5-2, was probably justified, but if the ‘eagles’ had started as they finished this could have been a close game. However, both Mr. Wade and Mr. Hudson were very pleased with the boys’ efforts in the second half and the way in which their heads didn’t go down. They competed well and this bodes well for the future. Keep up the good work lads!
